Where to get sexual health advice

Your GP practice. Contraceptive and sexual health services are available at all the practices including termination counselling and HIV testing.

A new community based service that offers
• Contraception services, emergency contraception, termination of pregnancy counselling, help with sexual problems.
• Sexual health screening
• Chlamydia screening

Services are free and for both sexes.

Emergency or drop in clinic
If you need to be seen urgently and can’t make one of the above clinic times. You may have to wait.
Monday 10.30 -.11.30 (emergency contraception only)
Saturday 11.00 – 12.30 (emergency contraception only)
Saturday 12.30 – 13.30 (under 20’s only)

The ARK is a teenage health clinic, which is held at The Laurels on a Saturday morning, 12.30-13.30. No appointment required.

SHAC (Sexual Health Advice centre for young people)

If you are 19 or under there is a walk in clinic between 12.00 and 14.00 on Mondays (except Bank Holidays). Appointments on Mondays from 14.00-17.30 Please phone to arrange an appointment on 01223 217774
