A general dental advice service, which deals with enquiries about the availability of NHS dentists, plus and queries regarding treatment, prices and emergency services for every day of the week.
Students should be aware that for NHS treatment, they are exempt from payment up until age 19. After 19 they must complete the form HCI (available from the Helpline or dental surgeries) for continuing exemption.
Emergency dental treatment
The Dental Access Centre is based at Chesterton Medical Centre, 35 Union Lane. (see out of hours link for map).
It operates an emergency service available to unregistered patients who require immediate treatment. Patients will only receive limited and simple treatment. It is advised that you register with a General dental Practitioner for long term care.
The Dental Access centre is open from 8.45am to 5.00pm. It is closed for lunch between 12.30 –13.30.
