Eating disorders
Please feel that you can talk to your GP or college nurse if you are worried that you have issues with eating.
Here are some specific websites related to eating disorders.
www.b-eat.co.uk This website offers an on line support group on Monday and Thursday evenings. You can also order a B-eat recovery pack which some people have found very useful. It is free to people under 25.
B-eat have helped set up an eating disorder support group for cambridge University students which meets two weekly on a Wednesday evening. Please contact CUSU for more details
Cambridge has two main centres, which treat Eating Disorders.
The Phoenix centre is for young people under 18.
The Adult Eating Disorder Unit is based at Addenbrooke’s hospital.
Both centres give help to young people on an outpatient as well as an inpatient basis in some circumstances.
If you feel you may need further help in this area please speak to your GP or another health professional.
